GARLO was launched in Viveiro in 2011, from the experience acquired by its predecessor company, the first company to in Spain to supply truck-mounted elevating platforms for work at height.
GARLO’s vocation is to serve its clients, while being committed to fighting climate change, with more than 15 years’ experience in its sector, consolidated as a family business with extensive knowledge of industrial maintenance.
Over the years Garlo has specialised in wind farm maintenance and wind blade repair. It subsequently decided to work with larger companies in the renewable energy sector.
To complement the needs of its clients, Garlo management decided to integrate new services such as the supply of components. This led the way to the founding of ARES in 2019, which fully integrated the accumulated experience in maintenance management with the addition of new technologies such as Big Data and algorithmic applications.
Grupo Garlo is currently made up of the companies Garmir, Garlo Plataformas Elevadoras and ARES. This alliance ensures the Group can reach a greater number of clients and satisfy their individual needs in a more precise and personalised manner.
GARLO began its journey in 2011 to offer quality solutions and services for work at height using truck-mounted elevating platforms, rigorously complying with all safety requirements. It was a spin-off of a family business that was the first company in Spain to use elevating platforms in the wind sector, with more than 15 years’ experience.
Following the company's growth objectives, a blade maintenance service was introduced in 2012, branded GARLOwind. This service emerged as a response to our clients’ need for a more competitive and simpler product to manage, and combined the supply of elevating platforms with the service offering blade repair.
Implementation of an integrated management system (covering quality, environmental matters and workplace health and safety), as first certified by AENOR, the Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification, in May 2017.
Business maturity led the way to the founding of ARES in 2019, which fully integrated the accumulated experience in maintenance management with the addition of new technologies such as Big Data and algorithmic applications. Grupo Garlo is currently made up of the companies Garmir, Garlo Plataformas Elevadoras and ARES.
